If you spent one too many moments in Semester 1 wishing there were more fun puzzle-themed trivia nights at USyd, then we have some good news for you – Letters & Numbers is back!
ΣUMS and CrossSoc (Crossword society) are hosting the first Letters & Numbers night of Semester 2 at ISL from 5-6pm on Monday 7 August (Week 2). Join us for conundrums, calculations, chaos, chocolate and a great opportunity to absolutely destroy your friends with your mathematical ability and lexical knowledge.
What’s Letters & Numbers?
Based on the Australian TV show of the same name (also known as Countdown in its UK form), these puzzles test your ability to use just your brain, a pen and paper to wrangle long words from a random set of letters, and combine given numbers using the standard four operations to reach a target number.
In our version you can play in teams of up to four or individually.
Register your team/yourself by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday 6 August, or just rock up a little early on the day so we can get your names down!
